I just learned of your web site and your use of psychodrama in your work. I’m writing to get acquainted let you know of another psychodrama resource in the Midwest — the Midwest Training Series at Lake House Health & Learning Center in Racine, Wis.

The series is designed for professionals new to psychodrama, as well as those who have used the method for years and are seeking updated skills and/or want a safe place to address personal work and get CE and psychodrama credits. I’ve been pleased to welcome professionals and advanced students from Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, Indiana and Arizona.

As you have a specialty in trauma, you may wish to know about Kate Hudgins’ Therapeutic Spiral Model, which combines psychodrama and socimetry with current brain research with several action structures especially designed for safety. I’ve worked closely with her for a number of years and have been very impressed with her model, which I have integrated into my own psychotherapy, teaching and supervision.

I am the training director of the Psychodrama Training Institute of Chicago and a TEP, the highest level of our profession. I hold an MA and was recently awarded Fellow of the American Society of Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama.

Altho you are not in our American Board of Examiners directory, I think that using Action Techniques certainly aids in the therapy.
