Being available to love

Published by at 12:56 am under Counseling & Psychotherapy

All of us keep secrets for many different reasons. It isn’t healthy to tell everyone everything about ourselves. However, in relationships, keeping secrets forces us to pay a price…

Martha Beck, a highly successful author and life-coach says,

“We conceal aspects of ourselves that we think invite rejection, but ironically, the very act of secrecy makes us inaccesible to love. We think we are hiding secrets, but really, our secrets are hiding us.”

Letting go of our secrets allows us to be available to connection and love.
